General information about us and our services can be accessed without providing personal information such as your name, email address or account information.

We do not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties for use in marketing their products or services, and we do not sell information of Website users or users of University of Orange’s services  to anyone. When you interact with us by using our Website and  other media forms or reading our emails, we treat personal information in accordance with all of the practices and safeguards described previously. Additionally, the following information describes our policies regarding cookies, “do not track” signals and third-party analytics.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our third-party service providers may use cookies, web beacons (also known as a pixel tag or clear gif) and similar technologies on our Website and in email messages.  Cookies are small amounts of data that are sent to your internet browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s local storage. Do we honor “do not track” signals?

How browsers communicate the “Do Not Track” signal is not yet uniform. For this reason, our Website does not have the ability to respond to “Do Not Track” signals. 

Third party analytics

We use Google Analytics to track activity on our Website, in our emails and to engage in analysis, auditing, research, and reporting. We have enabled user ID tracking in Google Analytics which allows Google to track your activity on our Website and in our emails, however, your identity is still anonymous to Google. We may use other third-party analytics service providers, and they may set and access cookies on your device and may use similar technologies to collect information about your interaction with our Website and our emails. Tracked activities include sites or screens visited, session duration and information about the way you use our services. The information generated about your use of our Website and your interaction with our emails may be transmitted to and stored by Google Analytics or such other third-party service provider. However, we do not share personally identifiable information with Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service provider. Social Media  

We may use hyperlinks on the Website which will redirect you to a social network if you click on the respective link. However, if there is a social plug-in on the Website, such as Facebook’s “Like” button, Twitter’s “tweet” button or the Google+, and you click on it, that particular social network’s plugin will be activated, and your browser will directly connect to that provider’s servers. If you do not use these buttons, none of your data will be sent to the respective social network’s plugin provider. So, for example, when you click on the Facebook’s “Like” button on the Website, Facebook will receive your IP address, the browser version and screen resolution, and the operating system of the device you have used to access the Website. Settings regarding privacy protection can be found on the websites of these social networks and are not within our control.

What choices are available to you regarding email communications?

On occasion, we may use your email address to inform you of our  services that we believe may be of interest to you. We may also send you service-related announcements from time to time about the services which you have requested or for which you have registered. If you do not wish to receive future communications from us, you may update your communications preferences. You can also contact us at   universityoforange@gmail.com  and we will remove you from our email list.  We do reserve the right to send you notices about services you have requested or for which you have registered, such as service announcements and administrative messages, even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications.

How can you change your personal information or terminate your account?

You can at any time review or change your personal information  by contacting us using the contact information below. Upon your request, we will deactivate or delete your contact information from our active databases. Such information will be deactivated or deleted as soon as practicable based on your  activity and in accordance with our deactivation policy and applicable law. To make this request contact us as provided below. We will retain in our files some  personal information to prevent fraud, to troubleshoot problems, to assist with any investigations and to comply with legal requirements as is permitted by law. Therefore, you should not expect that all your personal information will be completely removed from our databases in response to your requests. Additionally, we keep a history of changed information to investigate suspected fraud.

Changes to this policy

We may change this Policy from time to time without prior notice. Any changes to this Policy will be promptly posted here so we encourage you to refer back to this Policy regularly and the date new versions are posted will be stated at the top of this Privacy Policy. Unless stated otherwise, our current Privacy Policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account. Your interaction with our Website  other media forms or emails after any changes have been posted will constitute your agreement to the modified Policy, and the modified Policy will automatically apply to any information that we collect from the effective date of such modified Policy. We may, in our discretion, decide to notify users of changes made to this Privacy Policy via email or otherwise.  Accordingly, it is important that users always maintain and update their contact information. 

Protecting children’s privacy online

We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under the age of 13.  Our services that are offered for youth require enrollment on behalf of a child by an authorized adult.  We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children to never provide information on this Site without their permission.
