Dance Court was inspired by our friends at DS4SI’s Dance Court project. These Dance Court meet ups are spaces to play, exchange, learn, and make more space for dance in public.

The Tao of K-Drama Book Party

We are thrilled to celebrate the release of Dr. Mindy Fullilove’s latest book, The Tao of K-Drama: Wise Narratives for a Troubled World. The event will feature a hybrid panel with Professor Kyla Park, Dr. Isabel S. Lee, and Jae Shin, an art show by the book’s illustrator, and Korean snacks.
The hybrid panel discussion will be held in-person and on Zoom from 2:30pm-3:15pm.

Still Life Drawing Classes

Weekly still life drawing classes for all ages and all levels. More details coming soon.
Digital Photography in Natural Light
Dates and times TBA
This three-session photography class will cover tactical photography skills. Class topics will include sun angles, different types of light, and composition. At the last class, students will have time for taking photos together, sharing, and discussion.

Fall Steelpan Classes for Youth and Adults

Orange Steel Band offers opportunities for adults and children to learn and perform steel pan music in a lively intergenerational community. Classes are taught by our band captain Jevaun Grant, a seasoned steel pan musician who has recently completed a steel pan certificate program at the University of Trinidad and Tobago. Youth classes are open to middle and high school students. Adult classes are open to any and all people above the age of 18.
Fall Bird Migration Walk

Join us for a birding walk in Orange! We will go for a walk to see the park’s resident birds and birds migrating through the area. Please wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and bring binoculars if you have them (we’ll have a few extra)!
