How can community organizations come together to share their piece in recovering and moving forward from these collective traumas?

On top of the destabilizing COVID-19 pandemic, the killing of George Floyd sparked nationwide protests and calls for police reform. While these past weeks and months have been difficult and painful, we must not get overwhelmed and mired in despair. We need to come together and talk about how we can move forward together to make things better. This panel will provide a space for local organizations, instutitions, and businesses to share their responses to the dual crises so we can learn from each other and think about how we can all do more.

This panel will include an introduction to Collective Recovery from Dr. Mindy Thompson Fullilove, MD and local leaders who will share how they are responding to advancing racial, economic, and social justice in these trying times. There will be an opportunity for attendees to share their responses to the crises towards the end of the event.

Panel sponsors include Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills, University of Orange, The HUUB, inc., Healthy Orange Coalition, Maplewood Memorial Library, Orange Public Schools.
