The Comfort of the Ritual Calendar
This year at the University of Orange we learned that the ritual calendar is one of the sources of comfort and joy in troubling times. One of our rituals is our annual request for your support. We take this time to reflect on all we’ve accomplished during the past year. As we moved through the ritual calendar of the school year, we delighted in four semesters of work: Jan term and spring, summer and fall semesters. In each semester, there were courses to explore and field trips to see the world around us. We believe that, in the face of much that is being torn apart, our people’s free school has continued to be a center for grassroots research, popular education, and place-based organizing. We hope that you will join us in supporting our school for the coming year.
